3rd September 2003 Windsurfing: Jericoacoara, Brazil Wind Direction: E Wind Stength: 25-30 knots Surf / Sea State: Small waves/swell on outside Air Temperature: Scorchio! Sea Temperature: Scorchio! Weather: Mucho Sol Max Speed: Distance Covered: Tough day at "work" today. Did absolutely nothing but snooze in a comfy chair and read BOARDS. Then went out for a 2 hour windsurf session. Nice! Better than yesterday. Nicely powered up on my 4.6 most of the time, although a few underpowered runs. Jumping: Good. Nothing scarily huge, but a few nice ones, and a couple pulled off right in front of my friends when they were sailing towards me in the other direction which is always very satisfying. Gybing: Mediocre. Like yesterday, made difficult on the inside by dodgy wind and lots of people. The entry to my gybes often feels very good now, but the ending is still wobbly often. Success rate still low, and gybes on the outside still pants. Wave-riding: Oh yes! A few attempts, and on one pulled off a full on cut-back right on the lip. Nice! Want to do it again! Oh yeah this place is good! Arrgghh only 2.5 weeks left - I don't want to leave... |
